About India Cricket

The Indian cricket team, governed by the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI), is one of the most dominant and commercially successful teams in world cricket. India has been a Test-playing nation since 1932 and has consistently ranked among the top teams across all three formats.

India's golden era began in earnest in the 2000s, powered by batting legends Sachin Tendulkar, Rahul Dravid, Sourav Ganguly and VVS Laxman. The team won the ICC Cricket World Cup in 1983 and 2011, and the ICC World Twenty20 in 2007.

Under the current leadership of Rohit Sharma, India have emerged as the dominant force in world cricket, ranking #1 in Tests. With Shubman Gill, Yashasvi Jaiswal and Rishabh Pant leading a new generation, the future looks exceptionally bright.
